1. GREEN REVOLUTION= Agriculture (Food grains).
Ø Father
of green revolution in the world= Norman Borlaug.
Ø Father
of Indian green revolution= M.S. Swaminathan.
Ø Started
in 1960 that led to an increase in food grain
production, especially in Punjab, Haryana & Uttar Pradesh. Major milestones
were the development of high-yielding varieties of wheat, fertilizer
responsive, lodging resistance and rust resistant
strains of wheat.

WHITE REVOLUTION= MILK (Operational flood)

Ø Operation Flood, launched in 1970 was a project of India's National Dairy Development Board (NDDB), which was the
world's biggest dairy development program. It transformed India from a
milk-deficient nation into the world's largest milk producer.

Ø The term blue revolution refers to the remarkable emergence
of aquaculture as an
important and highly productive agricultural activity.
Ø India second largest producer of fish after China.
Ø Umbrella scheme for integrated development and management of
fisheries.

REVOLUTION= Horticulture (Fruits), Honey
Ø Period between 1991 to 2013. During
this time there was a big increase in
horticulture production which means there
was more production of fruits,
vegetables and other horticulture products like
honey and flowers

revolution refers to the period in which the production of eggs was
tremendously increased; it was done by the help of medical science and more
protein rich food for the hens. it was same as the green and the white revolution
